How long does it take for AlarmCare to respond to activation?
The speed of our response is directly related to the transmission speed of the communication format that your current alarm communicator sends. Generally the response time experienced by our clients is less than 60 seconds from the time that audible siren is activated to the time that we are their phone in response.

I have an existing unmonitored alarm system - can I get it monitored?
Yes, even if you're existing system does not have a communicator, it can be retrofitted enabling on-line monitoring. Most modern alarms incorporate a communicator as standard.

My alarm system has a fault, can you help?
Yes we can. First, check the manual that was left at installation time and it should contain a trouble shooting section. Attempt to "reset" the alarm on the keypad. If this does not work, please contact us.

So how much would I expect to pay for a good alarm system?
If you are just protecting the property, average systems cost between €600 and €700. it should include all entry doors.

If your home has 10 to 15 doors and windows and you need the full perimeter protected for your personal safety, a quality system should cost between €1,000 to €1,500 per month for either kind of system.

Why do I need a monitored alarm?
To be truly effective, a security alarm system needs to be electronically monitored. An alarm system that just makes a loud noise can be ignored by others and is useless in providing a quick response to a security breach or any other alarm condition (e.g panic, fire, smoke, medical).
